I decided to get myself a copy of Macromedia Flash 8 (do not question the source) and I'm whipping up a short practice/test animation to get used to the workflow. I might use this to make games, animations or even music videos. I purposefully chose Flash 8 because I wanted to export it with as2 as I want that authentic Y2K feel (also because apparently Ruffle has a lower chance of breaking when working with as2 compared to as3 but I digress).

It's a short animation of a dude wet from being pushed into a pool (DON'T WORRY, HE IS WEARING SWIMMING TRUNKS) and he sneezes and scowls at you. That's basically it. I'm still coloring it because I wanna get used to the full workflow, and I'll draw a background in Krita for it later. I'm doing this via a Win 11 VM cuz I just had it lying around for college work, the copy of Flash I had was for Windows, and it crashes Wine. If you're wondering why I didn't just get the Mac version, it's because the architecture of Macs in 2005 (PPC) don't use the same architecture as modern Macs, in my case Apple Silicon. I won't get into the nerdiness of it, just know I'm perfectly content with using a little M1 Macbook Air to do all my creative work because I am a weird combination of both excessively paranoid about malware and insanely broke.

I might post the animation here if I feel like it.

Btw, I got descouted cuz I made the mods mad by drawing offensive shit. I don't really mind it but if you guys wonder why I'm not appearing on the art portal no more, that's why. It's fine by me tho because my work isn't really meant for the masses in the first place, it's mostly made out of a place of my own trauma and desire to fight social norms so honestly, being kept away from the risk of mass harassment by those whose sensitivities don't align with mine is actually a good thing for me. I don't live by a model of "all exposure is good exposure".

I'm also still working on the album but it's a bit slow due to the college test season happening these few months (it's the final weeks of my semester). I've also been facing a bad sinusitis episode these past few weeks, hence why I've been unable to record any vocals. I'm still maintaining by voice and all, but it'll be a while until the album and manga are finished, but the efforts are on track. Again, the album will probably be longer than 30 tracks if I'm not careful. But I'm trying to stay under that amount however, seeing how many projects I have that I've designated for the album, I believe I'm doomed to make yet another long album lol.
